The Christmas season is magical! Lights are brighter; smiles are wider, and love shines throughout the season. Allie and David's Christmas Eve's Eve (December 23rd) wedding was a perfect picture of Christmas magic!

It was a crisp, cold, lovely day filled with smiles from every friend and family member in attendance! White linens, dreamy lights, and beautiful greenery draped the Gin and painted a winter wonderland to set the scene for the intimate ceremony!

This day was full of moments that left us feeling honored to just be there to witness! Both the guys and the girls gathered to pray over the soon-to-be bride and groom. Tears of joy flowed from the grateful hearts in both circles...!

Anticipation was building as David took his place in the courtyard and anxiously waited for his first glimpse of his bride! Allie softly walked up behind David, gently placed her hand on his shoulder and took a deep breath. When he turned to see, he could hardly hold it together! He wrapped her up and held on tight with the fullness of love in his embrace...

Then the real fun began! After the first look, Allie and David got a chance to relax and be themselves as we captured some gorgeous bride and groom portraits! These two are MADE FOR EACH OTHER! They share in a sense of humor that makes their bond evident for everyone around them!

Each bridesmaid wore a unique burgundy dress, and the groomsmen had ties to match. The pop of color made for the perfect warm accent to the winter scene! Both Allie's girls and David's guys had so much fun; the venue was filled with the sound of laughter all afternoon!

One of the most memorable feelings of the day was when we captured portraits of Allie and her Papaw. The man who gave his all to raise her up in love was obviously the first to have her heart!

As people and more people began to stream into the Tin Top Gin in Slaton, TX, we had no doubt that Allie and David are truly cherished and loved! They shared an intimate ceremony without a dry eye in the house and celebrated afterwards with Yellow House Coffee for all of their guests! What a fun treat, right?! This day was a special one for us, and we were truly honored to be a part!

Lucy&Luis

We are so enjoying walking through this season with Lucy and Luis! This combined engagement and family session was seriously so much fun and this sweet family was a dream to capture! I loved Lucy's attention to detail in choosing their outfits! Let's be real - Lucy could be a model! She shined in front of the camera, and I loved capturing the glow-y sunset behind her beaming smile! We cannot wait to capture her bridals soon and then their wedding later this Spring! Ah! Such dream clients!

The Sweetest Surprise Proposal

Our friend, Evan, contacted us with an exciting idea to propose to his then girlfriend, Natalie. He could barely form sentences because he was bursting at the seams with pure love for this beautiful girl! We came up with a grand, extensive plan, and it all began with a phone call.

I called Evan while Natalie was with him to ask them to "model for my portfolio." They agreed, and so this first set of pictures is our modeling session...(all part of his big plan.) We began at the Lubbock Arboretum, and for honestly thinking this was a modeling session, Natalie knocked it out of the park!

He hugged her tight and wouldn't let go! I kept saying, "Oh, that's perfect. Stay right there! I've got to get the right shot!" As he held her, all of their family made the trek from behind a nearby building and gathered behind her. They were as quiet as possible, so she had no idea! Then, at just the right time, Evan dropped down to one knee. She immediately realized what was happening and quickly responded with a "YES!" Sweet tears and hugs galore followed as everyone celebrated the newly engaged couple!

Natalie and Evan, it was truly an honor to be a part of this wonderful day. You two are very special, and we're so excited for this next chapter of your lives. Tyler and I are thrilled to photograph and video your upcoming wedding!
